Where Can I Recycle My Printer Cartridges?

Only a fraction of the millions of printer cartridges used in the UK each year get recycled. The rest end up on landfill sites, and add to the massive amount of plastic waste generated annually in this country.

OKI

OKI offer two options for users looking to recycle their old cartridges – a freepost service and a recycling bin programme. The latter is particularly useful for large office which use a high volume of OKI cartridges.

Lexmark

Lexmark offer recycling services for both their cartridges and other consumables as well as for their printers and multifunction devices – perfect for offices looking to dispose of all their end-of-life products in a socially-conscious manner. Lexmark’s recycling page also explains how all the company’s endeavours are completed with the environment in mind.

Canon

For more than 25 years, Canon has been operating printer cartridge recycling programmes. Trying to make everything electronic where possible, the Canon recycling page invites users to directly print recycling labels. Canon offer different recycling options for inkjet and laserjet prints – accommodating both cartridge types.

The Recycling Factory

You may be able to make a little money out of your old and used printer cartridges when using the services of the Recycling Factory. Offering recycling options for both inkjet and laser printer cartridges – the Recycling Factory works closely with businesses, schools and charities, as well as offering their services to individual and domestic users.
